Hi, I'm Jorge, a Stake Pool Operator based on the beautiful island of Madeira, Portugal

We are based off the island of Madeira. Part of an archipelago of islands about 930 kilometres west off of Morocco, Africa and about the same amount of distance south west off from main land Europe.
It may seem to be a random island in the middle of the Atlantic, but it is well known for its wine production, tourism resorts, great nature trails, incredible weather and high quality rums.
The greatest contemporary “export” of the island though is arguably the best soccer player ever to grace the game: Cristiano Ronaldo.
Provided below is a very short resume of my life spent working:
- Trained in electronic counter surveillance and network intelligence in the South African Defence Force
- Establishment of the first e-commerce site with secure server credentials in Portugal
- Web consulting work for Bank Santander (Portugal)
- Mentoring of staff that would go on to work for Google and other companies
- Entered the cryptocurrency space in 2016
- Invested in Cardano since 2017
- Speaks English, Portuguese, Afrikaans, and a little Spanish.
- Studied Journalism at the University of South Africa
- Launched first spirit based alcohol NFT on Cardano blockchain in September 2021
